Nadine Fuhr

Painting between worlds

Abstract expression infused with movement and emotion

To flow

To feel

To connect

Nadine is a German-born artist whose work reflects a life lived between worlds. After studying psychology and sociology and completing training in yoga and systemic coaching, she made a radical decision in 2020 to leave her familiar life behind and embark on a journey both outward into the world and inward toward herself. Since then, she has traveled and lived in more than fifteen countries, finding a second home in Cape Town, South Africa, where she now spends half of each year.

Her studio moves with her, whether overlooking the ocean, sitting on a quiet beach, or nestled in a remote camping spot surrounded by nature. Nadine’s paintings emerge from the present moment, shaped by emotion, movement, and energy. She works primarily with acrylics, often incorporating mixed media techniques such as pouring and texture paste, allowing her pieces to evolve organically.

For Nadine, painting is a way to give form to the invisible. Her work is raw, colorful, and intuitive, guided entirely by feeling rather than predetermined concepts. Many of her paintings radiate a vibrant, uplifting energy, born from moments of joy, clarity, and peace. She believes that art can be light, offering spaces where color can dance and life can feel a little less heavy.

In addition to her personal practice, Nadine creates commissioned pieces, tuning into the emotional and energetic qualities of people and spaces to produce works that resonate deeply. Her first exhibition took place in Cape Town in 2023, and since then her paintings continue to emerge from magical, present moments, each one an invitation to connect.
