Born and raised in South Africa, Corli draws inspiration from the country’s vast landscapes and untamed seascapes, translating their power and beauty into vibrant, atmospheric paintings. Her work moves beyond representation, aiming instead to stir memory, reflection, and emotion in the viewer.

Deeply influenced by the emotive use of colour in Mark Rothko’s paintings, as well as the expansive vistas of April Gornik and Vija Celmins, Corli weaves together elements of abstraction and realism to capture both the seen and the felt.
